There are several major md electrical injuries that can come from contact with the electrical energy, electrical arcs that jumps to someone that is grounded, thermal burns including flash burns from heat generated by an electrical arc, flame burns from materials that catch flaming from heating or ignition by electrical currents, and muscle contractions may lead to somebody to fall. High voltage contact burns can burn internal tissues while leaving only small injuries on the outside of the skin. read more...
The New Electric Power Source.
The Offshore wind power has not arrived yet, but there are several ambitious proposals in the works.
A wind power developer, Deepwater Wind, on Wednesday proposed a 1,000-megawatt wind farm in a spot between Rhode Island and the eastern end of Long Island in New York. The towers would be so huge, their blades rising 500 feet above the water’s surface, that they would be separated by seven- or eight-tenths of a mile, and thus would cover 270 square miles. Soon we can see this moving to the shores of Maryland. Maryland electric and many other local electrical md companies will soon jump onboard.
